This collection consists of the correspondence and personal papers of Diane Burko, a Philadelphia-based painter and photographer. The collection documents Burko's work as an artist, her tenure as a professor, and activity in local and national art organizations.
The files of Dr. John W. Alexander, accession 3308, date from 1958 to 1968, with the bulk of them falling between 1964 and 1968. Dr. Alexander served from 1964 to 1968 as the first black president of the city of Orange' s board of education, and the files reflect his ongoing responsibilities as mediator between school administrators, city government and the population of Orange, as well as long range goals or projects which he authored or assisted in implementing.
This collection contains mounted and unmounted photographs of Dutch Houses from Northern New Jersey and Southern New York. Some of these images were used in the 1936 book Pre-revolutionary Dutch houses and families in Northern New Jersey and Southern New York.
This collection includes various types of greeting cards, including holiday, birthday, get well soon, graduation, and confirmation cards. Most cards are in English, but a few are in German or an undetermined Asian language. The dates on these cards range from the early 1910s to the mid to late 1960s. Some cards are undated.
